Charles Farrow trained in law, qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives and practised in Norwich. In 1989 he set up his own historical research business, Charles Farrow Research, and has worked as a freelance historical researcher ever since. He investigates all aspects of genealogy and local history, and has a particular expertise on the elucidation of legal documents. He is also an expert on English parish churches and is a member of the Bishop of Norwich's Committee on Books and Documents. Charles is a Vice President of the Norfolk & Norwich Archaeological Society, and a former Chairman of the Norfolk Family History Society. His hobby is 'church crawling'.
