Q: Where can I obtain copies of Norfolk Record Society Publications?
A: The NRS website gives a complete listing of all volumes which can be ordered direct from the society with a summary of their contents. For our latest available publications list.

Q: Where are the Society's Records/Archives?
A: The Society has collected over the years, many original records relating to Norfolk, these include the society minute books. These have been deposited in the Norfolk Record Office and are available for public consultation.

Q: Does the Norfolk Record Society provided research facilities?
A: The NRS does not have the capacity to provide any research facilities, but is happy to point you in the right direction.

Q: Does the Norfolk Record Society hold regular meetings?
A: The Society holds a launch event (which includes an introductory lecture) every time a new volume is published. Detail of this can be found on the events page.

We also have a triennial general meeting which is held in conjunction with the appropriate volume launch. Details of this can be found on the events page.

Q: I have a proposal for a publication. What do I need to do?
A: If you have a idea for a publication you will need to submit a formal proposal outline with a sample of the material to the appropriate Editor. You can email this to the society or post it to the Editor or Hon Secretary. Our contact details are available on the contacts page.

Q: How do I become a member?
A: Further information about membership is available on our membership page. To become a member of the Society you need to complete the membership application form which is available from our forms page. The completed membership form with the appropriate payment should be returned to the Hon Treasurer who’s details are on contact page.

A: The society is unable to offer any genealogical research, so it is best to contact the Norfolk Family History Society who may be able to provide further information and guidance.
