Membership of the Society:
Members, through their subscriptions, enable the society to make more widely accessible published texts which are fundamental to the study of all aspects of the county's history and heritage.
A copy of each annual volume is sent to all members, including many subscribing libraries and other institutions, while individual members receive an invitation to the launch meeting and lecture.
Recent lectures have been given by the following eminent speakers: 2005 Professor David Eastwood; 2006 Professor Colin Davis; 2007 Dr Mark Bailey; 2008 Professor Penelope Corfield.
The annual lecture is often held at a venue of historic interest. If possible this is linked to the subject of the annual volume being launched.
