The Index of Wills proved in the Norwich Consistory Court within the period of 1550-1603. Has been produced by the Norfolk Record Society and is published in association with the British Record Society, Ltd.
It is a continuation of a publication similarly issued to the members of both societies in 1942-1945
All the wills of this period are precisely recorded and indexed in their respective Register-books with the exception of Register Force (1600). In this case, most of the names of testators are recorded in the Register itself, but the corresponding wills are not recorded in the Register itself.
