Old Meeting House, Norwich, and Great Yarmouth Independent Church.

The origin in relation to one another of the two churches which afterwards became known as Great Yarmouth Congregational Church and the Old Meeting Congregational Church at Norwich has been the subject of considerable controversy.  What follows is an attempt not made before by collating the Church Books to arrive at a Conclusion. The Books of each begin in 1642 and disclose a common origin, the opening paragraphs being almost identical, the Yarmouth books is in general much fuller.
