The ‘Registrum de ornamentis ecclesiarum achidiachonatus Norwyci‘, complied first in the summer months of 1368, contain a comprehensive list of the moveable ornaments and furnishing of every church lying within the jurisdiction of the Archdeaconry of Norwich. It includes a valuation of each benefice and lists also the synodals, procuration fees and peter’s pence due from each. The book is a official ledger complied for the archdeacon to aid him in the performance of one of the routine duties of his office.
This volume covers the Deanery of Norwich, Taverham, Blofield, Flegg, Ingworth, Sparham, Holt and Walsingham.
