The records transcribed record the particulars of travellers who took the oath of allegiance to the King (Charles I) before proceeding overseas to Holland and New England.  The departure port is Great Yarmouth.

The records obtained by the customs officer from each traveller, include: Name, Domicile, Birthplace, Occupation, Age, Destination, Reason for Journey, Anticipated date of return.

The volume contains a index of named individuals in the records transcribed.
